Investors

Hiii it`s Ana Victoria!!! In today’s blog I will be talking about investors. But what does an investor do? Investors look for companies that can grow quickly and manage this high growth scale. Investors must see that the company can generate significant profits beyond the initial product idea with adequate financial projections and a plan to include multiple sources of revenue. When I talk about investors the first thing that comes to my mind is shark tank this incredible show that features a panel of investors called "sharks," who decide whether to invest as entrepreneurs make business presentations on their company or product.  The investors of this TV show in Mexico are: Patricia Armendáriz Carlos Bremer Marcus Dantus Arturo Elías Ayub Rodrigo Herrera Aspra  But somehow the one who we always hear stories about and must of the people know is Carlos Bremer. Carlos Bremer serves as the Chairman of the Management Board and CEO at VALUE GRUPO FINANCIERO, the nonbank gr...

Negotiation

Hiii it’s Ana Victoria welcome back to my blog!!! In today's blog I will be talking about a very interesting theme I saw in my business class that is negotiation. But I am explaining to you guys what negotiation means . Negotiation is a method by which people settle differences. It is a process by which compromise or agreement is reached while avoiding argument and dispute. We saw all stages of negotiation in class but while I was digging on the internet I found some information about informal negotiation that was very interesting for me and that I will like to share with you guys. Informal negotiation appears because there are times when there is a need to negotiate more informally.  It could be  when a difference of opinion arises, it might not be possible or appropriate to go through the stages set out above in a formal manner.  There are 3 important aspects that make everything in the negotiation. Attitudes Knowledge Interpersonal Skills  -Actitudes The at...

PESTE MAC

Hii everyone it’s Ana Victoria, today we will talk about the PESTE in MAC cosmetics. I decided to use MAC as an example because in my opinion it is an amazing brand. POLITICAL From the political level, no issues worthy of mention have been observed. ECONOMIC The price of your products due to the current economic situation can be a brake for certain consumers who do not have sufficient purchasing power. However, this problem is mitigated due to changes in consumer behavior, especially in the younger population. This change is largely due to the growth of the desire market, which has certain effects on trade such as: the decrease in spending on food and basic products due to the preference to increase spending in other areas such as technology, leisure, fashion and makeup. SOCIAL We have to highlight how the concern for physical appearance at the social level also implies a change that has consequences in consumption, and that is why in the male segment of the population spending o...

Canvas business model

Heyyy it’s Ana Victoria!!!  Last class our business teacher made us do a canvas business presentation. He explained to us that the purpose of the canvas business model is a great tool to help you understand a business model in a straightforward, structured way.  I really think that this is an amazing way to present your business so I decided to investigate a little bit more about it and how the model started. The Business Model Canvas was proposed by Alexander Osterwalder He was asking himself the question how a business model could be simplified to only one page. The goal however wasn’t to come up with a business plan. The actual question was rather how to model a business model. The business model consists of nine building blocks describing the value proposition, customers, value delivery and value creation, as well as the financial perspective. Now I will give some strengths and bad things that the business canava can have.  Some pros are : Easy to apply Easy to compar...

Leadership

Imagen
Hi its Ana Victoria!! In today's blog I will be talking about a similar topic from last week's blog. Last week I talked about autocratic leadership and all the benefits it can give you but in this blog I will like to talk about leaders in general and one of the best leaders in the world.  Nelson Mandela  To start talking about him I will h¡give you a small introduction of who Nelson Mandela was. He was a South African activist and former president Nelson Mandela helped bring an end to apartheid and has been a global advocate for human rights I think Nelson Mandela is a clear image of what a leader needs to be. He had a lot of empathy to connect with people, he was extremely patient and that is a very difficult ability that not everyone has. He had a huge ability of forgiveness and a big ability to negotiate. He is the perfect example of perseveration and when you really want something fight for it. Mahatma Gandhi ¿Who was Mahatma Gandhi? Mahatma Gandhi was a leader th...

Autocratic leadership

Hi it 's Ana Victoria!!! In today’s blog I will talk about today’s business class with Christopher the main topic of the class was leaders, I really like this topic and I love to learn about it because we have and we see leaders everywhere around us like for example our president (he obviously is not the best leader but he is the leader of Mexico), our school director , or even you can be a leader at a school team project.  But in today’s class we learn that according to Kurt Lewin there are three notable styles of leadership: autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire but I’m not going to be talking about all those three because I will tell the whole class. I am going to talk about the one that caught my attention the most that is autocratic.    Autocratic leadership characterized by the individual control of the leader over all decisions and small contributions of the groups of members. But I really don’t see that as a bad thing all the time so I am giving you some...
