Autocratic leadership

 Hi it 's Ana Victoria!!!

In today’s blog I will talk about today’s business class with Christopher the main topic of the class was leaders, I really like this topic and I love to learn about it because we have and we see leaders everywhere around us like for example our president (he obviously is not the best leader but he is the leader of Mexico), our school director , or even you can be a leader at a school team project.

But in today’s class we learn that according to Kurt Lewin there are three notable styles of leadership: autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire but I’m not going to be talking about all those three because I will tell the whole class. I am going to talk about the one that caught my attention the most that is autocratic.

Autocratic leadership characterized by the individual control of the leader over all decisions and small contributions of the groups of members. But I really don’t see that as a bad thing all the time so I am giving you some examples of the benefits that autocratic leadership can have. First thing is that it brings with it a faster decision making process that helps and benefits the company and employees. Another one is that it improves productivity because they are able to move information throughout an organization quickly. And last but not least mostly subordinates like to work under centralized authority and strict supervision

This topic was the one that caught my attention more because sometimes I have been an autocratic leader not because I want to but because I have to. And actually this happens very often to me because when teachers make teams and sometimes you have a bad team because it happens, and you need to take the leadership and tell everyone what to do because if you don’t do something no one will do it.

Thank you for reading today’s blog. I really hope you enjoy it and have a good time see you next blog.
