Canvas business model
Heyyy it’s Ana Victoria!!!
Last class our business teacher made us do a canvas business presentation. He explained to us that the purpose of the canvas business model is a great tool to help you understand a business model in a straightforward, structured way.
I really think that this is an amazing way to present your business so I decided to investigate a little bit more about it and how the model started.
The Business Model Canvas was proposed by Alexander OsterwalderHe was asking himself the question how a business model could be simplified to only one page. The goal however wasn’t to come up with a business plan. The actual question was rather how to model a business model.
The business model consists of nine building blocks describing the value proposition, customers, value delivery and value creation, as well as the financial perspective.
Now I will give some strengths and bad things that the business canava can have.
Some pros are :
Easy to apply
Easy to compare different business model canvases
A lot of additional information, resources and online tools available
Helps to focus on the value proposition for the customer instead of the product and its features
some cons are:
No information on growth strategy and competitive strategy
Relations between components are not visible
It’s a map of the destination, but with no compass or specific tips on how to get from point A to point B
So as we can see the business canva model is a very easy way to organize your business preposition but we can also see that sometimes people feel that it is not enough to just know that. In my opinion this business model is a very practical way to make a propuse and to be more organized.
Thank you for reading this blog. I hope you enjoy it.
